Philosophy: The Viterbo University Elite Soccer Camp is designed to be the most complete team pre-season camp in the region. The camp is aimed specifically at the best high school soccer players in the area and will provide the highest quality coaching to prepare each player for their upcoming season. The camp will feature game-like practices and training methods resembling those used by top class teams from around the world in order to develop technique, tactical awareness, and decision-making. Players will be involved not only in small sided games and technical sessions, but also in daily 11 v 11 matches where they will be encouraged to adopt different tactics and formations in order to develop a greater understanding of the game. Teams of players from all the area high schools have been invited and will play against each other on a daily basis to foster the spirit of friendly competition within our soccer community.

Topics that will be covered over the four days include:
• Passing—movement and support play
• Creating Space—as an individual and as a team
• Attacking—from wide and central positions
• Combining—to create goalscoring opportunities
• Crossing—shooting, finishing
• Defending—as an individual and as a team
• Set Pieces—attacking and defending
• Systems of Play—formations and tactics
• Goalkeeping
